Coastal adventure meets inclusive design — and we had the pleasure of bringing it to life. Welcome to the Buckroe Beach Playground in Hampton, VA! 🌊

We are proud to have partnered with the City of Hampton, VA - Gov on this incredible project. This stunning Landscape Structures Inc. playground was shaped directly by community input — and the result is a vibrant, inclusive destination that serves children of all ages and abilities. At the heart of the space sits a custom pirate ship — a one-of-a-kind centerpiece that invites kids to set sail on their own coastal adventure. A custom giant fishing pole interacts directly with the themed poured-in-place surfacing below, and a Fish Net Climber challenges kids to climb, balance, and navigate through a net structure that fits perfectly within the nautical theme.

Additional features include the Landscape Structures Inc. Cozy Dome®, Global Motion®, and SwiggleKnots® Bridge — all designed to welcome children of every age and ability. Underfoot, fully custom poured-in-place rubber surfacing brings the entire beach theme to life — with schools of fish, sharks, crabs, and jellyfish swimming across the surface.

Have you ever seen a playground that looks like a piece of modern public art? Meet the Monon Boulevard playground in Carmel, IN — the tallest Landscape Structures Inc. playground ever built. 🛝

Two vibrant red custom towers connected high above the ground by a long enclosed bridge anchor this extraordinary design. Inside, kids can navigate disc nets, cable climbers, and suspended wobbly elements on their way to the top — then descend via a smaller open slide or one of two sweeping tube slides. Interactive play panels and ground-level elements round out a play experience that keeps kids coming back again and again.

Last week, Monumental Sports & Entertainment teamed up with KABOOM! to build their 14th playground build at Friendship Public Charter School in Washington, DC — and Sparks at Play was honored to supply the Landscape Structures Inc. playground equipment that made it all possible. Watching a community come together to build something this meaningful for the children at Friendship Public Charter School was truly special.
