πŸ’— Help us make strides against breast cancerβ€”donate today!

The Baltimore Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. will be cheering on participants at the Making Strides Baltimore Walk, honoring survivors, uplifting those currently facing breast cancer, and standing alongside their families.

We’re bringing the encouragementβ€”and we’re asking for your support! You don’t have to attend the walk to make a difference. Please consider donating to our chapter’s fundraising effort as we work to raise awareness, promote education, and encourage early detection.

πŸ’— Give what you can. Share this post. Help us make an impact.

πŸ’œ You matter. Your story still has tomorrow.

Yesterday, September 8, was **988 Day**, and September is **National Su***de Prevention Month**β€”a time to raise awareness, share resources, and remind young people that help is available.

Top Teens of America, Baltimore Chapter, is encouraging real conversations about teen mental health. Every teen deserves to feel heard, supported, and connected.

The facts show why this matters: In 2023, approximately **4 in 10 U.S. high school students** reported persistent sadness or hopelessness, and **1 in 5** seriously considered attempting su***de during the previous year. [CDC](https://www.cdc.gov/healthy-youth/mental-health/index.html)

Together, we can turn awareness into action:

πŸ’¬ **TALK.** Check in with the teens in your life. If you’re concerned, ask directly: β€œAre you thinking about su***de?” Asking does not increase suicidal thoughts.

πŸ’œ **SUPPORT.** Listen without judgment, take their feelings seriously, and keep checking in.

🀝 **TAKE ACTION.** Help them connect with a trusted adult, school counselor, mental health professional, or 988. Teens: you do not have to manage a friend’s crisis alone. These steps follow [NIMH’s su***de prevention guidance](https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/5-action-steps-to-help-someone-having-thoughts-of-su***de).

πŸ“± **Save it. Share it. Know it: 988.**
If you or someone you know needs support, **call or text 988**, or chat at [988lifeline.org](https://988lifeline.org/). The Su***de & Crisis Lifeline provides free, confidential support, 24/7 in the United States.

**Real conversations. Stronger tomorrows.** πŸ’œπŸ’™

πŸ’— Pretty in pink. Powerful at the polls. πŸ—³οΈ

We have a question, Baltimore: Did YOU register to vote?πŸ‘€

It’s National Voter Registration Day, and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Baltimore Chapter, is bringing the reminderβ€”and the receipts! πŸ“Š

According to the Census Bureau (https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2025/2024-presidential-election-voting-registration-tables.html), in the 2024 presidential election:

* πŸ“ 73.6% of U.S. citizens age 18 and older reported being registered.
* πŸ—³οΈ 65.3% reported voting.
* πŸ’— Among voting-age women citizens, 66.9% reported casting a ballot!

Let’s keep that participation growingβ€”one registration, one reminder, and one voter at a time!

βœ… Check your registration.
βœ… Update your information if you’ve moved or changed your name.
βœ… Encourage an eligible friend or family member to get registered.

πŸ“² Send this video to the family group chat with one little question: β€œAre we ALL vote-ready?”

Service is what we do. Leadership is how we show up. Let’s bring both to the ballot box! πŸ’—

πŸ”— Register or check your status at [Vote.gov](https://vote.gov/).
