Building our community of care: Highlighting respite services and supports for families navigating dementia and cognitive change. Respite services provide caregivers with a short-term break so they can rest, travel, or handle personal business.
This free event includes a screening of the documentary "A Place of Belonging," followed by a discussion on how our community can support respite needs in the Greater Oxford area.
Light refreshments will be served. Activities will be available for individuals with dementia while their caregivers attend the event.

Thanks for voting! 🍕 We are excited to share that this year we had 254 voters spanning all ages, with our youngest voter being 3 and our oldest being 84!

We found some shocking results:
• Mushrooms: More older community members voted YES for mushrooms 90% (ages 50-84) vs. 44% (ages 4-49)!
• Pineapple: 93% of 30–39 year olds voted YES for pineapple on pizza, making them our most pro-fruit generation! 🍍
• Anchovies: 55% of 40–49 year olds voted YES on anchovies, the only age group where anchovies actually won! 🐟

It was wonderful meeting members of our Oxford community, sharing what Age-Friendly Oxford is all about, and hearing your thoughts, ideas, and, of course, your opinions on the great pizza topping debates! 💙🍕

This weekend there are two fun events bringing together people of all ages:

There's still time to participate in Intergenerational Trivia TONIGHT from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at LaRosa’s - 21 Lynn Ave., Oxford. All ages - all minds - one great night! A unique trivia experience where teamwork spans the decades! If you haven't signed up, just show up tonight, and we'll get you on a team.

And, Sun. May 31 come and play for fun and prizes at the Intergenerational BINGO Party from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Oxford Seniors - 922 Tollgate Dr., Oxford. If you've been playing Community Bingo this month, bring your cards and additional prizes will be awarded for those who have BINGO on their cards!

(All ages are welcome at both events;, children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult.)
