Each year, Stronger Together Oxford partners with Mary Cathey Head Start to ensure every student receives a new winter coat for the season. Through the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and community members, classrooms are "adopted" and provided with the coats students need to stay warm throughout the winter.

This year, we are just one step away from completing our commitment.
We need 10 NEW winter coats to fulfill the final classroom's needs.

We're looking for either:
One business willing to adopt our final classroom, or
community members willing to purchase one or more coats.

All new coats must be dropped off by November 13.
If you'd like to help, please use the Signup Genius link to select a coat size or contact us directly for additional information.

Eat Local. Give Back Local. ❤️
Sometimes making a difference is as simple as picking up dinner.

Following the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford's inaugural Viva Mahj Mahjong Tournament, El Charro is hosting a Giveback Night, donating 20% of dinner food sales to support the Junior Auxiliary's work in our community.

Even if you can't attend the tournament, you can still make an impact by grabbing dinner for your family, picking up takeout on your way home, or meeting friends for a meal.

Why does it matter?
Because every dollar raised helps Junior Auxiliary continue life-changing programs that serve children throughout Lafayette County, including:
- Camp Sunshine for local girls entering 5th grade
- Baseball Skills Camp for young boys to build confidence, skills, and friendships
- Children's Book Festival, providing books and author experiences to more than 1,000 local students
- CASA Helpers, supporting children in foster care with essentials like clothing, school supplies, beds, and special holiday gifts
- F.R.E.S.H. Project, supplying hygiene products to schools and organizations serving local children
- Pajama Project, ensuring children in need receive new pajamas and a new book for a special holiday school tradition
- On Call for Kids, providing emergency assistance to local children and families facing unexpected crises

When you choose dinner at El Charro on October 24th, you're helping provide opportunities, resources, encouragement, and hope for children right here in our community.

Help spread holiday cheer and make a direct impact on your community by ringing the Salvation Army bells this season.

The Red Kettle campaign is not just a tradition; it’s the Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser, helping them provide critical emergency assistance to those in need all year round. By volunteering, you'll support vital programs serving Lafayette, Panola, Marshall, and Yalobusha Counties.

Every penny dropped into the red kettles at Kroger and Walmart stays local, meaning you are directly helping your neighbors in need. Your time as a bell ringer can brighten someone’s day and make a real difference for those facing hard times.

Join us in ringing hope into the hearts of your community!

November 27-December 24 at Walmart, Kroger and Larson's.
