El Rio Spreading Grounds in action! Water is diverted from the Santa Clara River at the Freeman Diversion, moves through the Saticoy Spreading Grounds, and then comes down here to El Rio through our El Rio Pipeline. 💧

The water is released into these recharge ponds so it can trickle into the ground and help replenish the groundwater basin.
