Yesterday the HHPC was invited to be one of five organizations from around LI Sound to speak at a Roundtable about partnership successes around the Sound. I spoke about re-opening of thousands of acres to shellfishing after 45 years of closure and of re-opening Crescent Beach after 17 years of high bacteria counts. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, EPA Regional Directors from both Boston and New York, Congressman LaLota, and EPA’s new LI Sound Partnership Director Nikki Tachiki all participated.
