🇺🇸 Thank You, Oyster Bay! 🇺🇸
On behalf of the Oyster Bay Fire Department and Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1, thank you to everyone who helped make our 2026 Independence Day Parade and Ceremony such a memorable celebration of America's 250th Birthday!
We are incredibly grateful to Gimme Burger for their generous donation and continued support of our community. Thank you also to the dedicated parade committees from both firehouses, whose countless hours of planning made today's event possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Town of Oyster Bay for preparing the area in front of Town Hall for our ceremony.
A special thank you to the organizations and dignitaries who joined us in today's parade: VFW Post 6394 of Syosset, Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, Oyster Bay–East Norwich Chamber of Commerce, Oakcliff Sailing Center, Raynham Hall Museum, President Theodore Roosevelt and Mrs. Roosevelt, Nassau County Legislator Samantha Goetz, , Councilwoman Vicki Walsh, Town Clerk Rich LaMarca, Councilman Andrew Monteleone, Paolo Pironi, representing Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz and Nassau County Police for keeping us safe! We'd also like to thank Dilly Dilly Donuts and Outlaw Street Eats for joining us this morning.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the members of the Oyster Bay Fire Department and Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1, who proudly marched despite the extreme heat. Your dedication and commitment to our community were on full display today.
We would also like to recognize the Oyster Bay Community Band, under the direction of Stephen Walker, for providing outstanding music during the ceremony in the Village. Your performance made the celebration even more special.
One of the highlights of the morning was seeing so many young people celebrating America's 250th Birthday by participating in our Children's Bike Parade! It was wonderful to see the creativity and excitement of all the participants. Congratulations to our Bike Parade winner, Luca Bellino (age 6), whose incredible fighter jet-themed bicycle earned him first place! Thank you again to Gimme Burger for donating the gift card awarded to our winner. We hope every child had as much fun participating as we did watching them.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and show their community spirit. Oyster Bay continues to prove what makes our hometown so special. From all of us at the Oyster Bay Fire Department and Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and enjoyable Fourth of July!
