Goldie Locks has been charged with 🐻🛌🍵 criminal trespass and destruction of property. Is she guilty or innocent?

Her fate was in the hands of South third graders on Tuesday as students were the jurors of “Goldie Locks vs. The Citizens of Greenville.” Christian County Associate Circuit Judge Steven Ward 🧑‍⚖️ presided as students were sworn in and listened to the evidence.
⚖️ This was great real-world learning for our students and fits within our social studies curriculum: The 3 Branches of Government. Goldie Locks’ trial brought to life the judicial branch.

Did you know today is Missouri Day? Missouri Day was created in 1915 to teach children about the Show Me State. Third graders at East Elementary dressed in pioneer clothes and learned about Missouri by making homemade 🧈 butter, playing old-time games, making rag dolls, creating whirligigs and listening to some 🪕 old-time music. What a fun day!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month 🧡— a nationwide campaign founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The goal is to raise awareness about bullying and promote kindness, inclusion and acceptance. School counselors have been spreading the message of National Bullying Prevention Month through a variety of means, including encouraging our students and staff to wear orange with others across the country for National Unity Day on Oct. 21!

Shaping and decorating Missouri, one cookie at a time! OJH FACS students had a blast teaching East third graders about Missouri's geography and the art of cookie decorating in honor of Missouri Day! Students decorated Missouri shaped cookies using candies to mark where rivers and important cities, like Ozark, are located!
We can't get enough of this sweet collaboration! 🍬🍭🍪
