Hawkins Bridge will be closed on Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a MoDOT fracture-critical inspection.
Electronic message boards will be set out to alert motorists. Please make plans for an alternate route during the closure period.

🚧 MoDOT Traffic Alert 🚧
Eastbound Route CC Traffic Shift between 25th Street and 22nd Street
In Ozark, Beginning Monday, October 19

Where: Eastbound Route CC Right Lane Traffic Shift between 25th Street and 22nd Street in Ozark

When: Beginning Monday, October 19

What: Crews will shift the eastbound Route CC traffic to the center lane as part of phase 1 of the Christian County Route CC Intersection Improvements Project at 22nd Street in Ozark. Traffic Impacts:
• Eastbound Route CC left lane OPEN and shifted to the center lane
• Eastbound Route CC right lane CLOSED at 22nd Street in Ozark
• Eastbound Route CC to southbound 22nd Street right turn lane OPEN
• Northbound 22nd Street to eastbound Route CC traffic will use the Route CC left lane to go east
• Northbound and southbound 22nd Street Open
• Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours planned.
• Signs will alert drivers approaching the work zone
• Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

📱Download Alert Apps: Make sure you have local emergency notification or weather apps installed on your phone to receive real-time hazard warnings.
🧐 Review Vital Documents: Protect important physical documents by storing digital, password-protected copies in a secure cloud or flash drive.

Temperatures will remain closer to average through the weekend with highs in the 70s and 80s. There are low rain chances at times through Sunday however the highest chances are closer to the Kansas border Saturday night into Sunday morning. Many locations east of Highway 65 will remain dry.

Mark your calendars for a neat event to help the Christian County Fire Corp. There are a lot of members of Fire Corp that volunteer their time to bring drinks, snacks, food and ice packs to assist firefighters during emergencies. These funds will help supply Fire Corp with the much needed refreshments and supplies!
