The January 2025 fire severely damaged critical escape routes in Castellammare. Tramonto Bulkhead burned and remains unstable, and Porto Marina is still closed. There are no current studies from the City confirming it’s even safe to build or rebuild — and with Pacific Coast Highway already sliding, our only exit in an emergency could be gone. We must act now to protect lives and infrastructure. The Digital Billboard Plan is being voted on Tuesday at the PLUM (Planning & Land Use Management) committee meeting in downtown on, TOMORROW, on Tuesday, November 7th at 2 pm. Concerns of these billboards impeding views, distracting drivers, and furthering loss of entertainment business dollars are at risk.

The Screen Actors Guild is concerned with potential adverse effects that the proper locations with these structures will further disrupt on location filming within the County.
