Today, we are giving a special shout-out to one of our amazing first-grade teachers, Mrs. Schlueter! 🎉 We are so thankful to have her as part of our Zitzman family, helping our youngest Chiefs learn, grow, and succeed every day! 💜📚

🤪 Wacky Hair Day is Friday! Students are invited to show off their wackiest hairstyles! A suggested $1 donation will support United Way.

Construction of Zitzman Elementary, Summer 1965

Opening in 1965 as Pacific Elementary School, it was later renamed in honor of Elda Zitzman, a longtime educator who taught in the Meramec Valley for over forty years and was the district's first female principal, when she retired in 1969.

Today, the school continues to serve generations of local children and remains part of the Meramec Valley R-III School District - Home of the Indians.

🌎 The Great American ShakeOut! 🌎

Today, Zitzman Elementary participated in the Great American ShakeOut! This annual earthquake preparedness drill is the world’s largest, bringing millions of people together to practice what to do when an earthquake strikes.

Our students and staff practiced important safety procedures to help everyone know what to do in the event of an earthquake. Being prepared helps keep our school community safe! 💜

Our students earned this recognition by demonstrating safe, respectful, and responsible behavior while riding the bus to and from school. We are so proud of our Chiefs for making positive choices and helping keep everyone safe!
