The Lake County Department of Utilities (LCDU) needs your assistance following a new Federal Ruling by identifying the material of your private water service line entering your home.

Please use the attached QR code attached or the URL link below to self- identify, this code will take you to a self verification survey to fill out on your computer or smartphone! Don't forget to submit a picture of your service line that you verify!

Are you a Lake County resident with an item to recycle? Come visit us at the Solid Waste Facility throughout the year! We are located at 2039 Blase Nemeth Rd. in Painesville Township. Our standard hours of operation are Mondays-Fridays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Below is a list of items we accept.

The Utilities Department will be conducting routine hydrant flushing from 9/9/26 through 9/21/26 in Madison Village. Signs will be posted in the areas where flushing will occur. Residents should avoid doing laundry on days the hydrants are being flushed. Discolored water may occur, and can be flushed from the cold-water tap. The second and final Household Hazardous Waste Collection of 2026 will be held this Saturday, September 12th, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lake County Fairgrounds. For more information, please call (440) 350-2645.

NOTE: tires are not accepted at this collection.
