Teentober Book Club!

Teens and tweens, come join us on Tuesday, October 13 at 4pm to discuss Witch Hat Atelier V. 1, watch the anime, and enjoy some crafts & snacks!

This is all part of Teentober, during which you can grab a teen BINGO card and get prizes along the way. Check off one of your bingo boxes by coming to this program while you’re at it.

Did you know we don’t charge late fees and offer up to 5 automatic renewals when you check out a book from our library?

We only charge for lost or damaged books. But, if the book was simply “lost” on your nightstand at home and you just needed a reminder, you can bring it back to get the charges cleared…just don’t wait 1,432 days please!

Want to track your due dates, renewals, and holds? Download our app! Just type “Palm Desert Library” in the App Store and you can sign in with your card number and pin.

Visual description: A couple of library staff members are standing at the front desk. A patron walks in with an armful of books and sheepishly tries to get their attention, her body language getting more awkward and exaggerated with each try.

We kicked off our fall programming this September with Emergency Preparedness and Hispanic Heritage Month Bilingual storytimes. We had our first sensory art workshop and After School Discovery returned, too!

For teens, we launched weekend math tutoring, and Teenscape Tuesdays resumed.

Adults enjoyed making their own Cricut mugs, guided painting, career coaching, and financial literacy programming.

ALL ages, came to get their bi-weekly Pokémon dose.

That’s just some of the programming we had in September. We’ll continue the learning and fun this month with Teentober, Learning in Retirement series, and our annual BOO Bash—don’t miss it!

Check out our program schedules highlighted at the top of the page or go to PalmDesertLibrary.org.

It’s Teentober!

Listen to one of our librarians explain the cool giveaways you can receive by participating in BINGO (ages 11-17).

Turn your completed card in at BOO Bash on 10/25 to enter the teen-only raffle.
