The way we get around can impact both our personal well-being and the health of our community.
Walking, biking, taking transit, and sharing rides can help incorporate movement into our daily routines while reducing transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. These choices can support physical and mental well-being, improve local air quality, and help create healthier neighborhoods for everyone.
Whether it's walking to a nearby park, biking for a short trip, taking public transit, or carpooling with others, transportation choices can add up to meaningful benefits for people and the environment.

Building climate resilience means helping our community prepare for the impacts of changing conditions, including wildfire risk. Taking steps before an emergency, such as creating a plan, staying informed and understanding available resources, can help reduce risks and strengthen community preparedness. The City supports community wildfire readiness through emergency planning, Fire Department programs, neighborhood-based volunteer efforts, vegetation management, and infrastructure improvements. Together, these efforts help residents prepare for wildfire season and other emergencies.
