At the end of 2025 and beginning of 2026, with the generous support of Corporate Champion , lead GC IBI Construction Inc, and an incredible team of vendors, tagged below, we completed another renovation project at Maitri. Through their support we were able to do a $174,000 renovation at no cost to the agency.

This transformation included the full renovation of two transitional housing units:
• New kitchen cabinets and appliances
• New flooring throughout both levels in two units
• Custom built-in storage under the stairs and in the dining areas
• New built-in lighting and new lighting fixtures
• Five fully renovated bathrooms with new vanities, sinks, toilets, and shower enclosures
• Landscaping and walkway repairs
• Water damage repair and leak remediation
•New furniture

Before renovation, the units faced serious challenges—water leaks, damaged cabinets, unsafe appliances, lifting floors and walkways and limited storage.

Now, these homes provide safer, more functional spaces for residents to rebuild and move forward. Grateful for the partnerships that make this work possible.

Through HIF’s partner, LifeMoves, Nikald received an Emergency Housing Fund (EHF) grant that allowed her to catch up on overdue bills, address critical expenses, and meet her daily needs—helping her regain stability and move forward.
