Unity day — Wednesday Oct. 19
October marks the National Bullying Prevention Month, and one way we spread awareness for this is through UNITY DAY, which will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19th.

The purpose of Unity Day is to demonstrate that we all stand united for kindness, acceptance, anti-bullying and inclusion of all students at El Carmelo. Please wear and share the color ORANGE at El Carmelo on Unity Day.

We will have school-wide activities around the Unity theme. Thank you for supporting this important cause.

Delicious food was had! Paper flowers were made! Coco was screened! and the book fair closed out with nearly 20% more sales than the previous best year!

Special thanks to Nicole Macuil and Christian Munoz for organizing this night with a focus on Hispanic Heritage Month activities and Delney Walker for organizing the book fair and running register at every shift.
Thank you to the families who made Cocoa and delicious Co**ha breads to share and to the volunteers who made book fair happen last night and all week. Special thank you to Danit Bizmanovsky who rose to the occasion more than once this week to make sure it all went well.
