Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Adams County Bicentennial Time Capsule Dedication! ❤️

It was a meaningful way to celebrate the people, stories, memories, and moments that made our Bicentennial so special. We are especially grateful to the committee members who thoughtfully helped assemble and prepare the time capsule, along with the many community members who contributed items to help tell the story of Adams County in 2025.

A special thank you also goes to the young people who joined us and took the pledge to honor the meaning of the time capsule. We hope they remember this moment for years to come, and maybe even return 50 years from now, in 2075, to be there when the capsule is opened again.

What a wonderful connection between our past, our present, and the generations who will carry Adams County’s story into the future.

See you in 2075!

Thank you to those who came to dedicate the time capsule!

After years of research, editing, and countless hours of volunteer dedication, the Adams County
Bicentennial Commission is proud to announce the much-anticipated Bicentennial History Book will be
available for public distribution beginning Monday, July 6, 2026.

Created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Adams County, this beautifully produced hardcover volume preserves the rich history and stories that have shaped Adams County for generations. "The Book Committee was committed to producing the highest-quality publication possible," said Adam Duesterhaus, Chair of the
Bicentennial Book Committee. "We are incredibly grateful for the patience shown by our community for the Book, and we can't wait for everyone to finally experience this remarkable keepsake."
