Due to weather forecasts with especially high winds, we are postponing the lakeshore cleanup scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, to a later date. We’re sorry for the postponement, but safety is our top priority with our cleanup efforts. The rescheduled date is to be determined later.

Thank you to everyone who had signed up to volunteer, we will let you know as soon as the lakeshore cleanup is rescheduled!

🇺🇸 As you celebrate the Fourth of July, remember to leave only memories behind!

Whether you’re enjoying fireworks, a picnic, or a day on the water, be mindful of your trash. Litter left behind can wash into our streams and eventually Kentucky Lake, impacting wildlife and the natural beauty we all enjoy.

Celebrate responsibly, clean up after yourself, and help keep Paris-Henry County beautiful! ❤️🤍💙

Litter can travel from streets to storm drains to streams, and get carried into our neighborhoods, far beyond where it started. Keeping litter secure is one of the simplest ways to protect Montgomery County’s waterways.

Keep Paris/Henry County Beautiful partnered with Keep Tennessee River Beautiful for a successful lake shore cleanup on Kentucky Lake with 17 volunteers. One of the most common pieces of litter we found were tires, which thankfully will be recycled along with all metal that was found. A great time was had by all in attendance! Let’s keep our waterways clean!
