🚧 BIG PROGRESS FOR THE RISON STREET BRIDGE PROJECT! A major milestone is on the way! Four trucks carrying 90-foot beams for the Rison Street Bridge reconstruction project will travel through Paris around lunchtime today, bringing us one step closer to completing this project.

Route: The trucks will travel along Hwy 641, turn onto Hwy 218, then Hwy 77, followed by Mineral Wells Avenue, Veterans Drive, and Market Street through downtown before turning onto Rison Street.

⚠️ What commuters need to know: Expect temporary traffic disruptions and delays along this route around lunchtime. Please use caution and allow extra drive time if you're traveling through these areas. The Paris Police Department will have officers on the route to assist with traffic control.

We know this project has required patience from our community, and we're excited to see these beams arrive as the Rison Street Bridge reconstruction moves closer to the finish line! Thank you for your continued patience.

You asked, we listened! Two additional stop signs will be added along Park Street in the Atkins-Porter neighborhood following requests from residents for additional traffic control measures. After observing traffic patterns and conducting research, the Paris Police Department determined that adding the stop signs will help slow traffic on this street and provide an additional safety measure for this residential neighborhood.

The new signs will be installed by the City of Paris Public Works Department during the week of October 19. We’ll let you know once the signs are in place. In the meantime, please be aware of the upcoming changes and watch for the new stop signs once they’re installed.
