There will be elevated fire danger east of the Metroplex on Friday. This is due to the gusty north winds and much drier airmass moving in across North Texas.

Our second call today for burn pile getting out of control. Significant loss of property. It is not safe to burn.

10/09/2026

Your Faught VFD volunteers were out early today on another fire call due to burn pile out of control.

09/26/2026

Your Faught VFD volunteers just cleared another burn ban call. It is illegal to burn. You will risk a fine if you do it. Your trash or burn pile isn’t worth it. Next week it might rain. That doesnt solve the problem and probably won’t change the ban, so don’t think rain automatically cancels a burn ban. Just stop this.
