Summit Water Distribution Company Summit Water Distribution Company is a non-profit, mutual, shareholder owned company. It was a private venture that began with the end in mind.

Summit Water Distribution Company was established in 1979 by visionaries who foresaw the growth and development that would take place in Park City and the Snyderville Basin in the coming years. Infrastructure was constructed as a long term investment in the future. The company’s humble beginnings consisted of one full time employee and three unpaid Board Members. The original assets of the company consisted of one working well and four miles of distribution main lines. Today the company has grown exponentially to serve the needs of its shareholders. Summit Water, as a non-profit entity, provides very effective service from nine full time employees and a still unpaid Board of Directors of seven members. High quality, low cost water is provided to our shareholders with ten wells, one spring, and a water treatment plant. Storage has grown from one million gallons to 9 reservoirs totaling 5.2 million gallons. We have a highly trained staff of operators totaling 7 individuals with over 100 years experience. The guiding principal of Summit Water is to provide high quality water at a fair and reasonable price. We continually exceed mandates for clean water across the full spectrum of testing required by the EPA and the State of Utah.

12:30 Update: Summit Water operators were able to repair the valve without shutting off the water. Water service interruption is cancelled.

SWDC is repairing an emergency water leak in the Hidden Cove area. Water service to homes on Hidden Cove Road, Silver Spur Cir., and Jeremy Pointe will be out of water starting at 10:00 am for approximately six hours.

Summit Water Distribution Co. will temporarily shut off water service tomorrow, September 23, beginning at 11:00 AM, for approximately 6 hours while we repair a water line on Sackett Drive.

The following areas will be affected:
• Sackett Drive
• Flint Way
• Broken Hill Drive
• Upper Lando Lane

Please note: Some homes may experience low water pressure only rather than a complete water service interruption.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work to complete the repair and restore normal water service as quickly as possible.

Irrigation Backflow Assemblies Are Due!

If you have not yet tested your irrigation backflow assembly for the 2026 irrigation season, now is the time!

Sechedule your annual backflow test today with a Utah state-certified backflow tester. A list of testers can be found at the link below.

Important Reminder: All irrigation systems must be protected by a Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) assembly. SWDC no longer accepts double check assemblies for irrigation system protection.

A water service interruption for homes located on N. Cove Drive will be out of water due to a repair on Thursday, August 27th starting at 3:00pm for approximately two hours.

2:00 pm Update: Water service has been restored. If you experience air in your lines, run the cold water for a few minutes until cleared.

Water operators will continue to work on the leak repair on Hidden Cove Road today, water service will be interrupted starting around 9:00 am for approximately eight hours.
