Attention: Parkman residents who use Dumpster Bandit.

The following is a message from Dumpster Bandit (the trash hauler). I imagine some other haulers may have to follow suit.

"Dear Valued Customer,

We want to provide you with an important update regarding a temporary change to our pricing.

Effective October 1, 2026, Dumpster Bandit will be implementing a temporary Fuel Recovery Fee due to the continued increase and instability in fuel costs. For the first time in our company’s history, we have reached a point where this temporary adjustment is necessary.

The Fuel Recovery Fee will be:

Residential & Commercial Customers: $1.96 per month for customers outside of a contracted service area

Roll-Off Customers: $20 per haul/move

Customers who receive service through a municipality or HOA under a contracted agreement will not be subject to this fee. However, there may be separate pricing or fuel provisions established through your specific contract.

We want to emphasize that this is a temporary fee. Our intention is to remove the Fuel Recovery Fee as soon as fuel costs stabilize and market conditions allow us to do so.

We understand that any additional charge is an inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. We have worked hard to keep our rates affordable while continuing to provide dependable service to our customers and our communities.

Due to receiving no bids for the EMS Request for Proposal, Parkman is rebidding this package. The bids are due on October 8, 2026 and will be opened at the start of the regular Trustee Meeting which was moved from October 6 to October 8 at 7:00 PM.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROVISION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND AMBULANCE SERVICE

The Township of Parkman, Ohio hereby solicits proposals for the provision of medical and ambulance services to the Township. The proposal shall be for the period November 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027.

Proposal documents can be obtained at https://Parkman.Geauga.Oh.gov or at the Parkman Community House, 16295 Main Market Rd, W Farmington, Oh 44491, by appointment only.

Sealed proposals, endorsed “Proposals for the Provision of Emergency Medical and Ambulance Services” will be received at the office of the Parkman Township, 16295 Main Market Rd, W Farmington (Parkman), OH 44491 until 7:00 PM on October 8, 2026 and thereafter will be publicly opened and read. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.

Hosmer Rd Residents: All I can do is post this notice from the Engineer's office and say that the threats of rain for the remainder of the week have once again delayed the job.

HOSMER ROAD RESIDENTS: Ronyak Paving is now saying that they will start Monday or Tuesday. Apparently they have had some issues with completing their current project. We really wish we could be more specific and exact with what we tell you, but we are not in charge of the scheduling for this project. We do know how frustrating it is for all of you.
