National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is October 25-31, 2026.
Lead exposure can be harmful to everyone, but young children and pregnant women are especially vulnerable. Lead can be found in older homes, paint, household dust, soil, imported toys, plumbing.

There is no safe level of lead exposure; even low levels of lead in the blood can have lifelong health impacts on children! The good news is that childhood lead poisoning is preventable!
Keep your family safe by learning more about preventing childhood lead poisoning at: https://www.cdc.gov/lead-prevention/prevention/index.html
