Tonight, the Tucker County Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS) hosted its annual achievement dinner to honor the accomplishments and dedicated service of its members over the past year.

Tucker County is home to three thriving CEOS clubs whose members consistently dedicate their time, leadership, and specialized skills to strengthening local communities. This year, members collectively logged over 6,000 volunteer hours, contributing an estimated economic impact of $204,840 in vital community service.

In addition to celebrating collective volunteer milestones, the evening highlighted individual commitments to lifelong learning. Several members were formally recognized and received reading awards for their dedication to continuing education and personal development.

For more information about local CEOS clubs or how to become involved, please contact the Tucker County Extension Office.

Friend of 4-H

A Friend of 4-H is an individual or business that has contributed to the improvement of the program. This years recipient has been a huge supporter of our 4-H programs for years and is a former 4-Her himself. The last several years he has used his vacation time to volunteer at camp. He is also a member of our Extension Service Committee and understands the true impact the 4-H program has on youth. He is always a call away and eager to help however he can. He has carried all of the H's through his adult like and we are very proud of him.

Tucker County Teen Leaders

The Tucker County Teen Leaders were recognized during our annual achievement dinner at the beginning of the month. They work diligently in the community completing community service projects such as power washing and staining the Depot, cleaning and resealing council circle, dinners to support those in need, serving during the 4-H elimination dinner and much more. They also plan educational trips yearly. This year they will be heading to Gettysburg!

How! How! for all your work for our community during the year!
