Moms.gov claims to support for expectant mothers, but instead directs users to anti-abortion centers that have a documented history of providing misleading reproductive health information and collecting sensitive personal data.
That’s why Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici, Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene, and I are leading 83 of our colleagues in demanding answers from HHS Secretary RFK Jr. about the operation of Moms.gov. This website exploits a vulnerable moment in women's lives to advance an ideological agenda rather than providing the medically accurate, evidence-based information that pregnant women deserve.

Trump’s new Moms.gov website is an anti-choice hub that misleads women | Moira Donegan
Site provides little in the way of actual support for pregnant women – but does direct them to deceptive pregnancy centers

61 years ago, Griswold v. Connecticut struck down a law criminalizing birth control & affirming that politicians have no place in Americans' private reproductive decisions.
Today, I join Congressional Reproductive Freedom Caucus and Democratic Women's Caucus to recommit to safeguarding access to contraception. Everyone deserves the freedom to decide if, when, and how to build a family.

People are dying in ICE detention at the highest rates in decades, and the Trump Administration is doing everything possible to dodge accountability.
This policy was adopted after a former Adelanto detainee died after leaving ICE custody.
I have visited Adelanto and spoken with detainees about the inhumane conditions they face. This attempt to cover up neglect and abuse in ICE detention is indefensible.
ICE to stop reporting deaths of newly released detainees, internal memo says
The agency is facing pressure to improve medical care in its facilities after reporting the deaths of 18 detainees in the first five months of this year.

At a time when Americans are struggling with high grocery costs, Republicans' 2027 Agriculture funding bill is attacking federal programs that support farmers and help feed hungry families, all to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
Unlike Republicans, Democrats are fighting to lower costs and protect families – not make life harder.

Finally. Today, the House passed a bipartisian War Powers Resolution to stop Trump’s illegal war. Now, I urge my colleagues in the Senate to end this reckless war once and for all.
In a first, House votes to block Trump from ordering further strikes on Iran
The Senate advanced a similar war powers resolution last month on a procedural vote, reflecting growing impatience with a conflict Congress hasn’t authorized.

Yesterday, I visited the Adelanto ICE Processing Center with Rep. Pete Aguilar & Rep. Jimmy Gomez to meet with some of the 150 detainees participating in a hunger strike against unsafe and inhumane living conditions. Their demands are simple: clean drinking water, edible food, and adequate medical care. Yet, Adelanto still refuses to provide basic care and detainees are dying.
I've seen these appalling conditions myself repeatedly, and I have called for Adelanto's closure for a decade. Adelanto must be shut down, once and for all. Until then, we will not stop fighting for transparency, accountability, and humane treatment by Trump’s ICE.
