We were at the City of Astronomy Science Festival in Pasadena this past weekend! Visitors of all ages placed hearts on their favorite worlds, choosing from posterboards showing how much observing time and how many spacecraft humanity has dedicated to each one, and which worlds still remain largely unexplored.

The results say a lot about which worlds have captured our collective imagination, and the mysteries that are still waiting for us.

Their mission: dock with both commercial Moon landers, Blue Origin's Blue Moon and SpaceX's Starship, in Earth orbit, testing the hardware that will carry astronauts to the lunar surface on Artemis IV.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, a total solar eclipse will cross parts of the Northern Hemisphere, marking the first visible from Western Europe since 1999. The path of totality sweeps through Spain, Greenland, and Iceland, with a maximum duration of 2 minutes and 18 seconds.
