💙 A little kindness goes a long way!

We had the pleasure of meeting McKenzie, who is on a mission to deliver thank-you cards to officers at 699 police departments. Pasadena PD was stop #47! 💌

Each card carries a simple yet meaningful message: “I appreciate you, be safe always. McKenzie.”
Sometimes, a few words are all it takes to remind someone they are cared for and that what they do matters. McKenzie, thank you for thinking of our officers and for taking on such a big journey to show your appreciation for those who work to keep our communities safe.

With a mission this big, having a strong support system and parents who encourage her along the way makes it even more special. ❤️

McKenzie, we hope you know that the kindness you’re sharing with others is coming right back to you. Keep going, even when the road gets long. We’re cheering you on! 💙

The Pasadena Police Department is excited to announce our first ever Sensory Friendly Hour, as part of our annual Trunk or Treat event. On Saturday, October 31st from 5pm to 6pm, we will offer a separate Trunk or Treat experience for those who would benefit from the accommodations.

Year after year, the city of Pasadena continues to make our Trunk or Treat event bigger and better, and we never want anyone to feel like they can’t be a part of this beloved annual tradition. So, this year we have planned a sensory friendly experience with fun and engaging games and activities, designed to provide a safe and enriching Halloween night for those in need of a calmer and quieter environment.

Being that this is our first year offering this experience, we would like to do our best to gauge the interest and expected participation, so more than enough treats and prizes are available for all. Below we have provided a link where we are asking that people let us know how many participants you plan to bring to this event.

If you miss an opportunity to fill this out, please do not feel like you can’t make the last-minute decision to attend, this is only meant to help us gauge interest in this new addition. Furthermore, we know life happens, so if you fill this out and are ultimately unable to attend, we understand! We would rather have treats in excess, than to leave any little ghosts and ghouls wishing for more.

We are very excited to bring this special hour to our event and to our community, so help us share this with those that need it most. No one should miss out on a fun and safe Halloween experience, so if you or someone you know is looking for a sensory friendly opportunity, come out and join the Pasadena Police Department from 5pm-6pm on Halloween, before the main Trunk or Treat event kicks off!

For generations, the Pasadena Police Department has stood for service, tradition and pride in the community we call home. And now, we want to celebrate another tradition that runs deep in Pasadena.

Our Texas heritage.

With this recognition, a new tradition within our department begins.

The Pasadena Police Department is proud to introduce the cowboy hat as an authorized part of the department’s uniform. We are beyond excited to unveil this new chapter in the history of our department.

The uniform represents service.

The badge represents trust.

And these hats will represent the Texas heritage shared by the community our officers proudly serve.

So, Pasadena, please join us in tipping our hats to the officers who serve, and the community that stands alongside them, as we begin this new chapter together!
