During Public Power Month, we are proud to shine a spotlight on Nate, one of our talented mechanics who keeps our fleet running smoothly.

We asked Nate what brought him to work here and what has kept him here, and his answer perfectly captures the heart of our team:
"I’ve always enjoyed fixing things, and I’ve been turning wrenches since I was 14. I found my niche in mechanics, and what I really enjoy about working here is knowing that the work we do helps keep our crews safe and ready to serve our community. It’s rewarding to know that something as simple as fixing a piece of equipment can make a difference when our crews need it most."

From the garage out into the field, our entire crew is committed to powering our community safely and reliably every single day!

As we celebrate Public Power this month, we're excited to introduce you to Celene, our dedicated Customer Service Specialist.
We asked Celene what she would want our customers to know about the people behind their power, and her answer perfectly captures the heart of our team:
"I would want our customers to know that the people behind their power really do care about them and the community we serve. I would like for them to know that we’re not just doing a job, that we all take pride in what we do and work hard every day to assist with their needs to keep the lights on."
That dedication is what keeps our community running strong. We are proud to show up for our neighbors every single day!

A customer recently shared this incredible photo of one of our line workers starting the morning high above the ground and getting the job done. It’s easy to take for granted what it takes to keep the lights on, but moments like this are a great reminder of the skill, dedication, and courage our line workers bring to work every day.

Up in the bucket, high above the ground, they’re out there doing the work that keeps our communities powered. We’re grateful for the hard work they do, rain or shine, day in and day out.

Thank you to our line workers for always going the extra mile (and sometimes way up!). And thank you to our customer for sharing this great shot!

Recientemente, un cliente compartió esta increíble foto de uno de nuestros linieros comenzando la mañana muy por encima del suelo y haciendo su trabajo.

Riverfest 2026 was an absolute blast! It was the perfect way to connect with our community right here along the Columbia River.

A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to chat! We loved connecting with you, sharing insights about clean energy and local partnerships, and celebrating the power of our river together. Huge thanks to the Pasco Chamber of Commerce for organizing such a fantastic event.
