WEATHER ADVISORY FOR PATERSON RESIDENTS

The City of Paterson Office of Emergency Management is advising residents of gusty winds and periods of rain expected from Friday afternoon through early Sunday.

Potential impacts include downed tree limbs and utility wires, ponding of water, slick roadways, loose outdoor objects, and isolated power outages.

All recreation activities and bulk pickups scheduled for this weekend are canceled. Pre-scheduled bulk pickups will resume Tuesday, September 29. Do not put out bulk garbage until Tuesday.

Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items, use caution on the roads, avoid parking or standing under large trees, and charge phones and essential devices in case of power interruptions.

For emergencies or downed wires, call 911. For utility service issues, contact PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734.

Please stay safe and weather aware this weekend.
