Community providers come out to gather important information.

Calling All Passaic County Community Partners and Service Providers

NJRC is hosting an H.R. 1 “Know Your Rights” Informational Session for healthcare providers, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, workforce partners, and community leaders who serve Passaic County residents.

SNAP changes are already in effect, and new Medicaid work requirements begin in January 2027. The New Jersey Department of Human Services projects approximately 330,000 residents could lose Medicaid coverage, most often because of a missed deadline or incomplete paperwork, not because they are ineligible. Many of those losses are preventable if the organizations' residents already trust know the rules and act early.

Participants will learn how the work requirements operate, who qualifies for an exemption, what documentation residents need, and how to prevent an interruption in benefits before it happens.

Attendance is the first step. We invite every organization in the room to build lasting partnerships with NJRC and one another through coordinated referrals, volunteer opportunities, workforce pathways, and shared resources, so no eligible resident falls through the cracks.
