🚒🔥 REAL MEN & WOMEN PLAY WITH DOLL HOUSES! 🔥🚒

Who says firefighters can’t play with doll houses? 😎🏠🔥

At the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department, we take our training seriously—even when it means playing with what might look like a giant doll house

Our firefighters recently put in the work with classroom instruction followed by hands-on live-fire training. These training exercises allow our members to put their knowledge into action, experience realistic fire conditions, practice critical skills, and work together as a team.

Because when the real call comes in, there are no practice rounds. The training we do today prepares us to make the right decisions when someone's home, property, or life is on the line.
🔥 Classroom learning.
🔥 Hands-on skills.
🔥 Live burns.
🔥 Realistic conditions.
🔥 Teamwork and communication.
🔥 Constantly improving.

So yes… REAL MEN & WOMEN PLAY WITH DOLL HOUSES! 😂
But behind the laughs is a serious purpose: Train hard. Train smart. Go home safe.
A huge thank-you to all of our firefighters who continue to give their time, energy, and dedication to better serve our community. We’re proud of the work you put in! 🚒❤️‍🔥

We'd like to send a special thank you to Mr. Joe Adydan for building the house!

Chief Hutton would like to take a moment and recognize 3 members who have been working very hard the last few weeks to achieve Hazmat Awareness certification through the Fire and Emergency Training Academy (FETA). This certification allows these members to assist on hazardous scenes with things such as setting up a safe areas for bystanders and first responders and identifying types of hazards. Chief Hutton would like to congratulate Nancy Kinslow, Ryan Prima, and Dan Green on this accomplishment. Your dedication and hard work does not go unnoticed.

Chief Hutton and the members of the Patterson Vol. Fire Department want to take a moment and give great thanks to everyone who came out and participated in our 4th annual open house. There were many great events for children of all ages including a live burn demonstration as well as an obstacle course. We gave away many door prizes and hosted a coloring contest for the kids. We'd like to thank the adults that participated in the 50/50 raffle! The children’s smiles and them enjoying themselves act as a great reminder of why we host these events. Chief Hutton would like to take a moment and give a special thank you to Morgan City Fire Dept for kindly allowing us to use their fire prevention inflatable prop, Patterson Police Department for the vehicle display and traffic control, Acadian Ambulance for the ambulance display, and Dominos Pizza for the pizza donation.
We also cannot forget to mention all of our amazing donors! Without you, this would not have been possible. We hope to see everyone next year and the weather to be more cooperative.

Thanks again, Chief Hutton
