We had another fantastic Rabies Clinic this past weekend, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a part in making this event possible:

To all the pets and their owners: Thank you for coming out and making your pets’ health a priority! We loved seeing all the familiar faces, wagging tails, and happy pets throughout the day.

To the outstanding team at Alfes Home Vet Care: Thank you for providing exceptional care. We truly appreciate your time, dedication, and compassion.

To Father Harold Hicks and his wife, Kay: Thank you for blessing the pets and for the countless ear scratches!

To Lou Who’s Pizza and Pasta: Thank you for generously donating pizza for our hardworking volunteers.

Our Spring Rabies Clinic is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2027! We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another great event.

DELAYED POST!

We have been keeping busy with Fire Prevention Month and are a little behind on our posts!

Last week, our Tanker 62 crew joined several local fire companies at St. Benedict School in Carrolltown to share important fire safety lessons with students.

Meanwhile, our Rescue Engine 62 crew visited Cambria Heights High School to provide fire prevention education and hands-on fire extinguisher training!

We love getting out into our communities and helping others learn how to stay safe.

Would you like us to visit your school, organization, or community group for fire prevention training? Or are you looking for tips to help keep your home and family safe? Reach out to us! We would be happy to help!

Today, we welcomed more than 125 homeschool students and parents to our annual Homeschool Fire Prevention Training!

Assistant Chief Jerry Brant, FF Pat Illig II, and FF/FPO Andrew Holodnik led discussions on fire safety, emergency preparedness, and what to expect when firefighters respond.

Students also enjoyed stop, drop, and roll demonstrations, trying on firefighter gear, navigating a firefighter maze, and taking rides on Tower 62 and Rescue Engine 62 with Engineers Matt Illig and Lenny Whiteford. Special Services 62 was also on hand to showcase our Water Rescue Team!

A huge thank-you to FF Matt Illig, FF Mason Shilling, FF Alan Venesky, and JFF Lily Wilkie for doing demonstrations and helping make the day a success!

We were thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout, with participation growing significantly from last year! Thank you to all the families who contributed to lunch and donated to help keep this important program available for future students.
