Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms may occur tonight. An isolated strong storm or two could not be ruled out, but otherwise, lightning and downpours are expected to be the main hazards with any storms. After one more humid day on Saturday, humidity levels will come down for Sunday and Labor Day. Temperatures won’t be as hot as they were earlier this week either, but they will still be seasonably warm.

Attention Gibson Residents:

The water restrictions placed city-wide yesterday ARE NOW LIFTED and regular usage is returned to normal.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

Planning to grill this weekend?

Give your grill some space. Use grills outdoors and keep them away from your home, deck railings, eaves, and tree branches. Never use a grill on a porch or balcony. And remember, never leave a hot grill unattended.

Another super hot day out there today.

We are near the end of this stretch of high heat, but it doesn’t feel like it’s soon enough. More 90s to return next week, and things look to stay hot beyond that even.
