Payson High School FFA is at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN.

Our first day of tours took us behind the scenes of several unique industries, showing us how agriculture and skilled trades play an important role in our everyday lives.

⚾ Louisville Slugger Factory – We learned about precision machining and the importance of sustainable forest management in producing one of baseball’s most iconic products.

🐎 Churchill Downs – We explored the horse racing industry and learned more about the business and agricultural practices behind this historic sport.

🐄 Harvest Home Dairy – At this small, family-owned dairy, we learned about dairy cattle husbandry, milking procedures, sanitation, and the process of making cheese and yogurt. It was a great opportunity to see how hard work and care go into producing the dairy products we enjoy every day!

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 🌾💙💛

Payson’s Community Spookyfest & Haunted Houses! 🎃

Payson High School Career Technical Education (CTE) classes participate in Market Day twice a year.
During this event, students become entrepreneurs and create products to sell to fellow students and staff. They must promote themselves and hopefully create products that their target audience wants.

Payson FFA takes National Convention! Mrs. Merrick-Murray and 8 Payson FFA members made their way to PHX airport this morning to start their journey to the National FFA convention, in Indianapolis, IN.
Throughout their trip they will attend leadership workshops, agriculture industry tours, complete a service project, interact with FFA members from across the country!
