Earlier today firefighters with Fire District #7 were called out to a potential stroke victim. That individual needed quick transport to a hospital. Thanks to a joint effort with FD7, Acadian, and Ochsner, they will have the best chance for recovery.
If you didn't know, many years ago Fire District #7 setup a permanent landing site for events such as this. It's just one of the things we do to help our community. This landing site was dedicated to the late Mr. Eddie Smith. He was a board member serving Fire District/community for many years.
