October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month - it is important to understand that domestic violence is not only physical; it also includes emotional, verbal, financial, and psychological control, as well as social isolation and digital tracking.

Good News: HB1522 is now law!

This new law strengthens NH’s civil domestic violence statute in two important ways. First, it now defines the crime of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images as an act of abuse. Second, it creates a statutory definition of “coercive control.” This law took effect on July 2.

Last month Girl Scout Troop 63123 had an opportunity for a meet and greet visit with Radar! They came by last night to bring him and Officer Joe a thank you card they made with pictures from their visit. Unfortunately, Radar and Officer Joe were not working last night but the girls got to say hello to some other Officers on shift and the boys made sure to put the thank you card at Officer Joe's desk!

Our lobby prescription drop-off box is available at all times. However, please remember we DO NOT accept sharps of any kind, at any time. The Pelham transfer station at 74 Newcomb Field Parkway is where you can take any sharps. Their request for medical sharps is as follows: "Medical sharps are accepted: Must be placed in a thick-walled, sturdy plastic container with a tight-fitting screw cap (detergent bottle). Must be labeled and taped with the word's "sharps". Not recyclable. Please give it to an attendant."
Pelham Transfer Station & Recycling hours are:
Tuesday: 10:30 am to 6:55 pm
Wednesday through Saturday: 8:30 am to 4:25 pm
Closed: Sundays and Mondays

These two young bike riders stopped by the Pelham Police Department to use the vending machine, and Dispatcher Connolly noticed they were being safe and wearing their helmets! 🚲👏

Because they were making smart choices and riding safely, Dispatcher Connolly rewarded them with a FREE ICE CREAM CONE! 🍦🎉
