Reminder: Your dog does not understand patriotism. They do, however, understand loud sky explosions.

Keep them safe, keep them licensed, and keep them inside this Fourth of July. 🇺🇸🐾

☀️ Hot weather can be dangerous for our four-legged family members. 🐾

As temperatures rise, take a few extra precautions to keep your pets safe.

☀️ HOT WEATHER WARNING ☀️

As temperatures rise, the inside of a vehicle can become deadly for pets in just minutes — even with the windows cracked. Dogs and other animals cannot cool themselves the way humans can, making them extremely vulnerable to heatstroke, brain damage, and death.

On a 70° day, the temperature inside a car can climb above 100° in less than 30 minutes. Every summer, animals suffer tragic and preventable deaths because they were left behind “just for a minute.”

Please remember:
🐾 Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle
🐾 If you can’t bring them inside, leave them safely at home
🐾 Make sure pets always have access to fresh water and shade
🐾 If you see an animal in distress inside a hot car, call 911 immediately

Be their voice when they cannot speak for themselves. A few moments of awareness can save a life. ❤️🐶🐱
