🐾💙 PES Panther Challenge Week 2: Make Someone's Day!

Our Panthers are continuing their October challenge of spreading kindness and making a positive difference in someone's day!

This week, we're focusing on showing gratitude and appreciation for the people around us. Small gestures can make a BIG difference!

🐾 Tuesday — Say Thank You!
Find someone who helps you and let them know you appreciate them!

💙 Wednesday — Thank a Classmate!
Think of a friend or classmate who has helped you, included you, or made you smile. Tell them why you're thankful!

🐾Thursday — Show Kindness Through Actions!
Hold a door, lend a helping hand, or do something thoughtful without being asked.

💙 Friday — Who Made Your Week Better?
Think of someone who made your week brighter and let them know!

🏡 Families, join the challenge at home! Ask your child each day: "Who did you make smile today?" or "Who made your day better?"

Our goal is simple: Help every Panther feel seen, valued, and connected.

🐾 The Panther Challenge: Make Someone’s Day! 💙

This month at PES, we’re kicking off something new: "The Panther Challenge!" Each month, our Panthers will focus on one simple challenge to help make PES an even better place to learn, work, and belong.

Our October challenge is: MAKE SOMEONE’S DAY! 🌟

Each morning, students will hear a small challenge during announcements. Families can follow along and help keep the challenge going at home!

🐾 Monday: Smile and say hello to someone.
🐾 Tuesday: Notice someone who might need a friend, some help, or a smile.
🐾 Wednesday: Cheer someone on — “You’ve got this!”
🐾 Thursday: Give someone a genuine compliment.
🐾 Friday: Reflect — *Whose day did I make better this week?*

💙 Try it at home: At dinner, in the car, or before bed, ask your Panther: “How did you make someone’s day today?”

Small actions can make a BIG difference!

🐾 Introducing the Panther Challenge!

This month, we are launching a new schoolwide tradition at PES: The Panther Challenge! Each month, students will focus on one simple idea that helps make our school an even stronger, kinder, and more connected community. During morning announcements, students will hear a quick daily challenge that gives them one small way to put that month’s idea into action.

💙 October’s Challenge: Make Someone’s Day!

Throughout the month, we’ll encourage our Panthers to notice others, include someone, lend a paw, give a compliment, say thank you, or simply say hello.

Families, we invite you to join us! Ask your child, What was today’s Panther Challenge?” and look for ways to practice it at home and in our community.

Get those smiles ready! 😁 Picture Day will take place **Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15**.

📅 **Picture Day Schedule:**
Monday, September 14: Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 2, and Grade 4
Tuesday, September 15: Grades 1, 3, 5, and any make-ups

Please check the schedule to see when your child’s class will have their picture taken. We’re looking forward to seeing all of those Panther smiles! 💙🐾

💙🐾 What a wonderful start at PES!

Our Panthers are back, and our school has been filled with smiles, learning, new connections, and lots of excitement! We are so proud of how our students and staff have started the year together.

🐾 Our Week 2 Focus: Consistency & Connection

As we continue settling in, we’ll focus on building relationships, practicing routines and expectations, and helping every student feel safe, confident, and connected at PES.

A big THANK YOU to our families for your patience and understanding as we continue to fine-tune arrival and dismissal. We saw improvements each day and appreciate everyone working together to help make these routines safe and efficient.

We are off to a great start, Panthers! 💙
