It's still the NFPA Fire Prevention month "Charge into Fire Safety"! Reminder, always unplug your device when it's fully charged. Overcharging generates extra heat which stresses and degrades lithium-ion batteries over time and increases the risk of electrical faults and lithium-ion battery fires. Always use the approved charging device and charge on a hard flat surface.

It's still the NFPA Fire Prevention month "Charge into Fire Safety"! Reminder, always use the correct charger when charging devices that have lithium-ion batteries (most of them do these days). Cell phones, tablets, tools, mobile devices etc. When chargers become frayed or damaged, discard them. Only purchase replacements that are approved for that device and beware of cheap knockoffs. Unplug when charging is complete or the device gets hot.

It's still the NFPA Fire Prevention Week "Charge into Fire Safety"! Reminder, when charging devices that have lithium-ion batteries such smart phones, an iPad, and any other device, if it feels hot while charging...stop using it. This may be the result of a damaged battery or an improper or damaged charging cable and can lead to a fire. Never place charging devices under pillows, blankets, or anything else that could catch on fire. It's still the NFPA Fire Prevention Week "Charge into Fire Safety"! Reminder, when charging devices that have lithium-ion batteries such as e-bikes, power tools, and e-scooters, always charge them outside and away from flammable items. Never block exits when charging. Only used an approved charger and unplug when charging is complete or the device or battery gets hot.
