Help change the culture !

Help change the culture !

Are you a thermometer or a thermostat?

A thermometer just tells you what the temperature is.

A thermostat changes it.

I think the same thing happens in the firehouse. Some people walk in and match whatever attitude is already there.

Bad mood? They join it.

Nobody wants to train? They don’t either.

Everybody is complaining? They jump right in.

Then there are the people who change the room.

They bring some energy.

They start training.

They help somebody.

They shut down the constant negativity.

They don’t wait on somebody else to fix the culture.

That doesn’t take rank.

It takes ownership.

So when you walk into your firehouse, are you reading the temperature… or setting it?

Not Good at all! Let’s train a little ! What would you do upon arrival? Leave your response in the comments .
