Railway Tourđźš‚

The Pembroke Senior Center enjoyed a wonderful excursion by Kelly Tours to the countryside of the small town of Winnsboro, SC. It was there that we learned about a hidden gem, The Rockton Rion & Western Railroad and Museum along a narrated historical train ride. One of Kelly Tour’s nearby tour assistants (Elizabeth) met everyone at the station and provided nice memorabilia gift bags. Everyone also enjoyed a delicious boxed lunch from a local eatery called “Peace on Earth” before traveling to Ridgeway, SC where we found the World’s Smallest Police Station. The day concluded with a peaceful and fun ride back home. The bus driver (Julius) and tour guide (Heather) were great and we certainly look forward to our next excursion with Kelly Tours.

This past Friday, our Pembroke Senior Services community gathered for a sunny luau to celebrate the life of our beloved Mr. McDonald. We shared photos and cherished memories, honoring the wonderful person he was and the joy he brought to all of us. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever shine bright in our hearts.

Giving Heart Felt Flowers

We would like to thank the Eastern Star Lodge for honoring our Mothers and Fathers. This incredible group gifted our men and women their time and companionship, celebrating them on this past week. We had a great trip to Fort McAllister State Park on Wednesday!

From exploring the museum and watching a fascinating documentary to walking through the historic fort grounds, it was a day full of discovery and fun. We wrapped it all up with a relaxing bag lunch in the park. 🌳

It was a wonderful day spent learning, exploring, and enjoying time together!
