The Moonlight Lantern Festival is this Saturday, October 3, at Weona Park in Pen Argyl, and it promises to be an incredible family-friendly event.

The whole festival will take place on the park's baseball field. You can park in the lot near the miniature golf course or in the lots on South Main Street next to the fire station. Since everything is on the field, please bring chairs or blankets so you can relax and enjoy the event.

The festival is open from 4 PM to 9 PM, and you can arrive anytime. The lantern release will happen after dark, and everyone will release their lanterns together. Come out and enjoy food trucks like Mac & Munch, Twisted Pretzel Express, Kona Ice, and Fire Floor BBQ. There will be w**e from Clever Girl Winery, b**r from Allegheny Creek Brewing Company, fire pits for s'more makingband live music from Blue Jean Band all evening. S'mores kits and lanterns will be available for purchase. We accept both cash and credit cards, but some vendors may only take cash, so please bring some just in case.

For the lantern release, everyone will launch their lanterns at the same time to make it a special moment. Once it’s dark enough, we will announce the release plan. About twenty minutes beforehand, we’ll announce when you can pick up your lantern from our tent. This gives you time to write on your lantern and get ready. Lanterns will not be handed out before then. We'll announce the instructions, and our team will be there to help with any questions. We suggest that two people work together to light each lantern—one to hold it and one to light it. When the lanterns rise, we hope you enjoy the amazing view together.

It's set to be a fantastic festival you won't want to miss, so grab your tickets today using the link below or at the gate.
