As of October 1st, 2026, the new SNAP Guidelines will be put into place here in New York State. Each income bracket increased this year, and the minimum allotment for a potential recipient increased by one dollar, making it $25 a month.
Attached is our SNAP Guideline Flyer with my contact information in the bottom right corner. As a SNAP Coordinator, I may prescreen community members to see if they are potentially eligible over the phone or in person. If someone is eligible for SNAP benefits, I may schedule a 1:1 and walk them through the entire process of the SNAP application, make sure they have required documents and submit everything directly to the Department of Social Services on behalf of the client. I may schedule a 1:1 at the client's place of residency, a public location, or at my office.
My office is in Lockport (BEHIND The Dale Association), with Open Office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 3pm for anyone who wants to walk in to discuss or ask any questions in relations to SNAP. Yet I am available Monday through Friday over the phone during normal business hours. Attached is also my Open Hours Flyer and other resources that FeedMore WNY provides to the area and other programs that may run with SNAP.
