🎉 Showing up matters—and this week, it came with a surprise!

WMS and WES held Surprise Attendance Days to celebrate students arriving at school on time. Students received tickets for lunchtime drawings, with winners earning PBIS points and coupons for a FREE Dairy Queen Blizzard! WMS winners also earned points for their House. 🍦

Some of our teachers’ children helped welcome WES students with signs, pom-poms, and plenty of Bulldog spirit. Even our police officer joined the fun—and Mr. Shovestull may have discovered a second career as a cheerleader! 📣

We hope to keep the surprises coming at least once a month, giving students a little extra encouragement to show up, be on time, and make the most of their school day. 🐾

🐾 Attendance Continues to Matter, Bulldogs! 🐾

As the 2026-27 school year continues, we want to remind families about the importance of regular attendance and Ohio’s updated attendance requirements.

Every school day provides opportunities for our students to learn, build relationships and stay connected. Missing even a few days can make it more difficult to keep up.

Please review the information in the graphic below and continue helping us make attendance a priority throughout the school year.

Every Bulldog. Every Day.

🍦🐾 PBIS Partner Spotlight: Dairy Queen on Portage Trail!

Our first spotlight comes with a sweet thank-you! Dairy Queen at 715 Portage Trail donated $5,000 worth of Blizzard and Cupcake coupons to support our Woodridge High School and Middle School PBIS stores!

Special thanks to Julia Sandor, CFO, and the Dairy Queen team for helping us recognize students for positive choices and contributions to our school community.

Through PBIS—Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports—students earn points for demonstrating expected behaviors and redeem them for incentives at The Bulldog Exchange at WHS and The House Points Store at WMS. Community partners help make these rewards possible!

Want to join them in supporting our students? Scan the QR code in the graphic to shop our Amazon Wish List. Businesses interested in contributing can contact Jessica Haynes at 330-928-9074.

Thank you, Dairy Queen, for supporting our Bulldogs!
