It was an honor to welcome Lt. Gen. Jason Armagost, deputy commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, to the 479th Flying Training Group at NAS Pensacola.

During the visit, Airmen and instructors showcased the vital mission of Undergraduate Combat Systems Officer Training and shared how the 479th Flying Training Group continues to evolve to develop the highly skilled CSOs our Air Force needs for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s fight.

Lt. Gen. Armagost’s time with the team—and his remarks as the distinguished guest speaker at the 79th Air Force Ball—served as a meaningful reminder of the legacy, professionalism, and purpose that connect generations of Airmen.

We are proud of the dedicated professionals who carry this mission forward every day.

16 October 2026 🇺🇸⚓️✈️

It was a momentous occasion for our fellow Airmen, MSgt Mullins, 479th Student Training Squadron, and MSgt Hudson, 479th Flying Training Group, who took part in a 6.5-week initiation culminating in a joint ceremony at the National Naval Aviation Museum. Joined by Navy and Marine Corps service members, the ceremony marked the completion of their initiation and their pinning as Chief Petty Officers, receiving their U.S. Navy Chief anchors and khaki combination covers. We’re proud to celebrate this achievement and the dedication it represents. Congratulations, MSgt Mullins and MSgt Hudson!

FLYOVER UPDATE: Due to lightning within 5 nautical miles and a low cloud ceiling, today’s planned 12-ship formation was modified to a 4-ship formation consisting of two T-38 Talons and two T-6 Texan IIs.

The 12th Flying Training Wing still proudly marked the Air Force’s 79th birthday and America’s 250th birthday with a formation over the Taj at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. 🇺🇸✈️

✈️ 12-SHIP FLYOVER | SEPT. 18 | 3 P.M. 🇺🇸

Look to the skies over the Taj at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Friday, Sept. 18, at approximately 3 p.m. as the 12th Flying Training Wing conducts a 12-ship composite flyover.

The formation will showcase aircraft from across the 12th FTW as we celebrate 79 years of the U.S. Air Force and commemorate America’s 250th birthday.

📸 Planning to watch? Please do not stand directly in front of the Taj. Stay clear of the Taj’s safety footprint and follow directions from JBSA personnel.

Congratulations to all of our fellow military members who took part in the Royal Danish Air Force March at NAS Pensacola!

A huge thanks to the 479 Student Squadron for their efforts in coordinating this admirable event alongside the U.S. Army! Over 140 participants took part in this physical challenge, carrying a weighted pack of at least 22 pounds and completing a 20-kilometer (12.4-mile) endurance event.

Army. Navy. Air Force. One Team, One Fight. 🇺🇸

In the quiet, early morning hours at Naval Air Station Pensacola, U.S. service members from across the joint force come together to take on the grueling Royal Danish Air Force March.

This isn't just a physical test; it's a powerful display of unity, proving that our strength comes from our ability to work together as one. By pushing their limits side-by-side, they build the esprit de corps necessary to overcome any obstacle, anywhere in the world.

Are you ready to step up and serve with the best?

Remembering September 11, 2001

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember the lives lost and the countless lives forever changed on September 11, 2001.

Today, Air Force and Navy members gathered at Naval Air Station Pensacola for a solemn September 11th Remembrance Ceremony at the Charles E. Taylor Hangar.

Together, we honored the lives who were lost, the families who continue to carry their memories, and the first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who answered a moment of unimaginable tragedy with courage and selflessness.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.
