The following parks have now been cleared for play:
🟢 Morris Court Park
🟢 Armstrong Park
🟢 Roger Scott Dog Park
🟢 Florida Square

⚠️ Important Reminder: Although these parks have been cleared for use, please do not use electrical outlets. They will be inspected as resources allow.

🔴 All other parks and playgrounds remain closed until they have been inspected and officially cleared for public use. Reopenings are happening in phases as crews assess conditions and address safety hazards.

Following a storm skilled and unskilled craftspeople come out of the woodwork to help with everything from tree and fence work to roof and electric repair. Knowing what skills require professional and state licensing is important to keep you and your family from being a victim. Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation manages state licensing for certain skilled trades and offers information for verifying your contractor’s licensing at RebuildRightFL.com.

Would you rather talk to someone in person? Make a visit to the Multi-Agency Response Center (MARC) at Bayview Senior Center and connect with state and local agencies, along with community organizations, helping to connect residents with available services. The MARC is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 2000 E. Lloyd St.

Be informed and avoid potential scams and fraud.

What does it mean to be Mayor? And how can our kids make a difference in the Pensacola community?

As part of Civic Leadership Month, I was able to visit our after-school program at Woodland Heights Resource Center today to answer those questions and help our participants learn more about local government and civic leadership.

Experiences like these are made possible through our partnership with Escambia Children’s Trust, and thanks to ECT, our after-school participants enjoy expanded programming that encourages learning, creativity, and meaningful community connections.

🌳 Many post-hurricane hazards are hiding overhead! Give a big shoutout to our incredible tree crew, who continue working hard to remove hanging limbs and hazardous branches throughout our parks. 👏

Even when the ground looks clear, dangers may still be above you. Please continue to follow park closure notices and stay clear of areas that haven’t been declared safe. Your safety is worth the wait! 💚

🐾 September was Community Service Month at our Cobb, Gull Point, and Woodland Heights Resource Centers! Our after-school participants rolled up their sleeves to make handmade blankets for Green Acres Rescue. 🩷

But that’s not all! Last month, our kids also collected donations for a local dog rescue and created handmade cards for seniors in our community. 💌

This month, they’re exploring City of Pensacola - Government and civic leadership, learning more about their community and how they can make a difference.

These meaningful experiences wouldn’t be possible without our partnership with Escambia Children’s Trust. Thanks to , our after-school participants enjoy expanded programming that encourages learning, creativity, and community connection. 💚
