Program of the Week #3: Aviation Mechanics Program

Take your aviation maintenance career to the next level with the engines that keep aircraft in the sky!

Our Aviation Powerplant Mechanics program (1,350 clock hours) builds on the General curriculum and delivers the specialized training needed for FAA Powerplant ratings. Combined with the Airframe pathway, it prepares you for the full industry-standard credential.

Upon completing the coursework, students receive a Career Certificate from GSTC and qualify to take the required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) examinations: FAA Airframe Rating and FAA Powerplant Rating. Together, passing these exams grants the full FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.

High Placement Rates & High Regional Demand:
Being located near major aerospace hubs and military infrastructure in the Florida Panhandle, the program boasts near-100% completion and high job placement rates, leading directly into local aerospace sectors.

Hands-on shop and lab work with real aircraft engines, systems, and industry tools means you’ll graduate ready for day-one success.

Program of the Week #1: Aviation Airframe Mechanics Program

Ready to build a career that literally keeps the world flying?

Students in our Aviation Airframe Program complete rigorous coursework governed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Training is structured into three core phases:
• General Aviation Core
• Airframe Maintenance
• Powerplant Maintenance

Under FAA requirements, at least 50% of the program’s clock hours must take place in hands-on shop environments—so you’ll spend serious time turning wrenches, not just turning pages.

You’ll train with industry-standard equipment, including: Hand & Precision Tools; Fabrication & Structural Tools; Electrical & Diagnostic Equipment; Shop & Maintenance Machinery
From structural repairs to complex systems, this program prepares you for real-world aircraft maintenance careers.
