Another beautiful morning on our campus! The landscapers are helping Peoria Elementary get ready for another great year!

Peoria Elementary is so excited to introduce Ms. Nordby who will be joining our campus as a 3rd grade teacher. Below is a message from her.

Hi everyone! My name is Michaela Nordby, and I am so excited to be joining the amazing team at Peoria Elementary this year!
I have been teaching for 6 years and truly love helping students learn, grow, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom. I’m originally from Minnesota, where I taught 4th grade for two years before moving to Arizona after getting engaged to the love of my life, Joe.
Outside of school, my fiancé and I stay busy with our two dogs — a pit mix and a very energetic Goldendoodle puppy who definitely keeps us on our toes! I love spending time with family, decorating our new home, trying new coffee spots, and finding fun ways to make learning engaging for students.
I’m incredibly excited for the school year ahead and can’t wait to build strong relationships with students and families at Peoria Elementary. It’s going to be a fantastic year full of learning, growth, and fun memories!

We had an amazing astronomy night with a blowup movie theater and a telescope to see Jupiter and Saturn 🪐 with its rings. Thank you to our PTO and Title 1 Department for putting on this free family night.

A huge thank you to the Arizona Rangers! Every year they treat our kindergartners to special gifts. The smiles on the kindergarten faces as they get to pick their own present says it all! Your dedication to our school for over a decade it’s so valued. ❤️🎄
