School Bell Tower needs replacing! Yesterday I managed to get to the very top of the school. What I thought was going to be a couple of hours of painting and minor repairs looks like I will be contemplating a full replacement in the near future. Oh well. At least it was a beautiful day with amazing views! Little Plum Church (now my home) looks great.

School House repairs are underway! I had been striking out this summer in finding someone to work with on repairs to the school house. Enter Ian Afdahl of Tried and True Timber. Still in high school this young man has finished repairing the siding on the west side of the school and is almost finished with putting in a new floor in the entry. Another "Little House on the Prairie" actress visited Little Plum Place (School) on Friday, September 12. As a guest at Laura Ingalls Wilder Days in Pepin, Alison Arngrim (who played Nellie Olseon) took some time to visit the school. Lovely lady and always the professional (even when mugging for a photo). Thanks for visiting and safe travels.
