Our Spring Valley tenants
enjoyed a wonderful outing today! We started with a delicious lunch at China Moon in Ankeny, then headed to Jester Park for a scenic drive! 🚐

First stop was the horses, followed by a beautiful drive through the park, and we finished by visiting the animals! 🐴🦬

It was an afternoon filled with beautiful scenery, smiles, and great memories! ❤️😊

Life is made up of small moments. Some special, some sweet. This one was both. ❤️

Steve and Karen are husband and wife, and both call Perry Lutheran Homes home. To help recreate a sweet moment from years past, Culinary Director Sara arranged for Steve to cook a favorite meal, set a special table in a private kitchen area, and share a dinner date with his wife. Just the two of them.

These little moments mean so much. We can’t capture them all, but we’re grateful for the people on our team who help make them happen. Thank you, Sara, for caring about the little things that are really the big things.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Dear Heavenly Father:

Nothing is unknown to You. Nothing is a surprise to You. There is a wisdom in Your infinite knowledge that flows down to believers. We plan next steps and future agendas just as the world does, but always with a trust in Your will to guide and direct us, blessing along the path we’ve chosen or another You’ve provided instead. Residents and staff in our St. James memory care neighborhood worked together to turn pipe cleaners and colorful beads into these festive fall decorations. What started out looking like spiders became something so cute!
